COMPANY PROFILE

Cambridge Measurement Group (CMG) is a leading provider of technical assistance to non-profit organizations. CMG was originally founded in 1999 as CHERD associates (Counsel on Health Evaluation Research and Development) and targeted its services to non-profit community health and social service organizations. Since restructuring the company in 2004, CMG has expanded its services to include cultural, educational and faith-based organizations. Cambridge Measurement Group consist is a collective of independent consultants with different types of expertise who have joined together to collaborate on a wider range of projects. Services delivered by CMG include program evaluation, research, grant writing, media releases, web design and other web based services.

GEOGRAPHIC SERVICE AREAS

Cambridge Measurement Group's principal office is located in the heart of Harvard University at First Church, Cambridge, Massachusetts. While the majority of CMG's clients are based in New England, collectively, we have served clients throughout all regions of the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada. Through the use of technology, CMG is able to work with most organizations regardless of geography. Additionally, our consultants will travel to client sites when needed.

THE CONSULTANT TEAM

Liza D. Molina PhD, MPH, is the Founding Director of CMG and principal research and evaluation consultant. Dr. Molina has over 15 years experience in the fields of survey research, program evaluation, grant writing and development. She is a graduate of Cornell University, department of City and Regional Planning, and holds both an MPH and Ph.D. in Behavioral Health from Harvard University. She has served on the faculties of The Colorado College, Tufts Medical School, and Cambridge College, and has created and taught curriculum in public health, cross-cultural psychology and research methods. During her career, she has written over 500 winning foundation and government grants and has provided program evaluation services to over twenty health and human service programs throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

G. Thomas Phillips, MBA, began his career in the fields of mathematics, engineering and architecture. After two decades working in the electrical and construction industry, he returned to academia to study world religions at Harvard University, earning a degree in the Psychology of Religion from the University of New Mexico, followed by post-graduate education in project management and nonprofit management at ABET and Duke Universities. He is HUD certified in faith & community based grant writing, and welcomes working with non-profit organizations of all faith traditions.

John Wentworth, BA, specializes in web design, computer technology, e-commerce and marketing communications. Equipped with a Bachelor of Arts in Technical writing from The University of Massachusetts, Mr. Wentworth has been providing technical assistance in the form of creating interactive websites, marketing tools, graphic designs and technical documents for both U.S. and Canadian businesses for over a decade. The American Evaluation Association (AEA) is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. Evaluation involves assessing the strengths and weaknesses of programs, policies, personnel, products, and organizations to improve their effectiveness. AEA has approximately 4,000 members representing all 50 states in the US as well as over 60 foreign countries.


The American Statistical Association (ASA) is the nations leading professional association for statistics and statisticians. It was founded in 1839 as a scientific and educational society with the mission "To promote excellence in the application of statistical science across the wealth of human endeavor." The ASA has over 16,000 members nation-wide.


Founded over twenty years ago, The National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) is a professional organization for individuals involved in assessment, evaluation, testing, and other aspects of educational measurement. NCME members include professional evaluators, university faculty; state and federal testing and research directors; credentialing professionals; and others involved in measurements and testing practices.
